Ep 51 - Recognising the Power in People
In this episode, Jason Lee encourages us to create opportunities for ourselves, to invest in lifelong learning, and offers us an oldie but a goodie: you’re only as good as the people you surround yourself with.
Jason Lee
Our next guest switches between leadership roles more than a DJ on the decks. Nothing, however, gets him jumping up and down and out of bed like his love for his community.
In a city where everything closed early, Jason Lee made sure he stayed open. Open to new opportunities and friends, with simple potluck dinners turning into citywide events. Pressing ‘create’ on a Facebook Group leading to thousands of meetups.
It truly takes a village, and Jason is always quick to praise his online and offline communities in putting his mission on the map. And we’d like to credit him, and his vision to create opportunities for himself. When the blockchain and fintech industries began to emerge, Jason was unafraid to stick his hand up in the air and claim a space in that market as his own. From co-founding FinTech Association of Malaysia to landing a spot on the board of the NEM.io Foundation, Jason continues to dominate the industry while also staying connected. In short: cool guy.
In this episode, Jason encourages us to create opportunities for ourselves, to invest in lifelong learning, and offers us an oldie but a goodie: you’re only as good as the people you surround yourself with.
