How does your workplace treat you? Do you feel valued? Supported? Or do you feel like a cog in a machine?
Reggie James is the CEO and Founder of consultancy group, Beaker & Flint, and began to grow frustrated over how some companies treat employees like a number; so he did something about it.
In today’s episode of Peers2Peers, powered by Shopify, Reggie shares why he has decided to reject hustle culture, how he transitioned from the corporate world to the startup land and what he’s learnt along the way about identity as an American expat in Australia.
Reggie James:
As a child, Reggie James spent his life bouncing around the US. Describing himself as a “military brat”, Reggie moved with his family and military father every three years. After finishing college, he decided to get as far away as he could from the unsettled life he had lived and travelled to Australia. Now, Reggie is the CEO and Founder of Melbourne-based consultancy group, Beaker & Flint.
In this joyful episode of Peers2Peers, powered by Shopify, Reggie explores how his unique childhood set him up for success, the power of community college, and why you should always separate yourself from your mission.
