Emily Kennedy is a self-described ‘recovering perfectionist,’ but sitting across from her, one can only assume she is bulletproof.
Through her company Marinus Analytics, Emily and her team harness AI-for-good to solve some of our world’s most permeating social problems; human trafficking is just one of them. It’s uncomfortable, pervasive and unrelenting but for Emily the thought of staying stagnant or falling into comfortability is worse.
Despite the odds, the perils and the insecurities, Emily doesn’t pander to what her self-consciousness would naturally assume of her; that she’s not ready, that she’s not qualified, that she’s not going to win. She hears these voices loudly, she hears these voices often and then, she moves past them and tries.
